Stuart Pearce's England U21s lost 2-0 this evening to a very impressive French side, and fielded two City players: Joe Hart and their captain Nedum Onuoha.
Despite his good recent form, it was not a fantastic performance from Onuoha. France's movement up front was just too good for England. David N'Gog and Gabriel Obertan were most impressive but they were well supported by the whole French midfield.
Onuoha was beaten a few times - although did make one or two crucial late interceptions. Hart was better, producing three or four saves of very high quality, and could have done little about either goal.
