Bellamy 'big doubt' for Emirates

From mcfc.co.uk:
Bellamy is back at Carrington as the Blues' international brigade head back to the club, but Hughes admitted: "There is a bit of an issue with his knee. We'll have a look at it and we'll see, but he is a big doubt for the weekend."

The Wales skipper, who has had knee surgery on more than one occasion, could yet be joined on the sidelines at The Emirates by record signing Robinho, who hobbled out of Brazil's 3-0 home qualifying win against Peru.

Hughes said: "We have had a message back from Brazil that he should be OK." But Robinho and Elano are not expected back from South America until tomorrow, when the manager must assess their readiness for a demanding game at Arsenal.

And with Sturridge and Benjani not read yet, we're going to have to hope Bozhinov's groin injury has cleared up by Saturday. Because with Felipe Caicedo unlikely to return to Manchester until late, it's otherwise going to be Ched Evans.

How about Robinho in a more central role?

Is he big and strong enough? Gallas and Toure are both very physical. But I'd rather have him there with Evans. And with Ireland and SWP wide we'd still be getting lots of work. So maybe.

I would also like to see him in a central role, sometimes I think he isn't able to get in the game enough on the left, maybe you could also say he goes hiding on the left at times.

Danny had a good run out and scored for the U20s mid week so he must be worth 60 mins. If he scores 8 more before the end of the season we can give him the big wages that he thinks he's worth. If he gets injured it looks like its Chelsea's problem anyway. Harsh I know. Rest Robbi for Uefa.
