Bellamy fee agreed

According to BBC Sport.

I wonder what length of contract we'll offer him. I'd like to think that he won't be first choice by the start of the 2009/10 season.

As far as I remember, Hitler plays on the far left.

Surely Hitler's an attacker???

What message does this send to Kaka?

This signing is depressing. Putting aside that Bellamy is a despicable human being, he is still not particularly good at football. City need to become more stubborn and aggressive in defense, however adding those qualities to our attack is unnecessary. We have scored more goals than any other Premier League team, bar Chelsea, yet we are languishing near the foot of the table. The answer is a complete lack of defensive solidity. Yes, we do need another centre forward. However, we should not be wasting the January transfer window buying obnoxious, limited footballers who are all too eerily reminsicent of Paul Dickov et al. If this is what a 'typical Hughes signing' looks like, then count me out.

??? I simply can fathom the merit of 12 million for another stop-gap solution with a history of creating dressing room unrest...

I agree with the sentiments posted here, but I think a missing element is the Welsh connection. Hughes obviously believes he can get something different out of Bellamy due to his international experience with him...?
