Real Madrid mouthpiece Marca has reported that our interest in Fernando Gago has led to a €15million (£13.2m) bid, although we would also consider a loan. The offer was apparently made to Florentino Pérez and Jorge Valdano through Gago's agent Marcelo Lombilla, who is trying to convince them to let el Pintita leave. Gago wants out, having lost his place to Xabi Alonso, and needing games to get him into Maradona's World Cup squad.
Everton and Juventus are also interested.

What's this Gago guy even like?
Gago is a play maker and a good one at that. . He's surplus to requirements now like any player at that basket case of a club can be great one minute and discarded the next. He would be a good signing and well worth 13m odd.
