RoM interview

I've done another interview on the Republik of Mancunia blog here, previewing tonight's game.

Jack mate, why do you lower yourself to this? all they do is use your answers to set up attacks on City; understandable as they are a rag site but you come across as intimidated, fawning and inferior. i am a big fan of your blog but mate - you need to stick up for us much more if you do anything like that again. poor show.

will the idiots be doing a match report on TLDORC if we stuff them?

I've just read this rubbish, you never learn do you Lonesome. Hughes knew well before the game he was gone, why do you think there was no pre-match interview the day before? Talk about twisting the facts to suit your Winter driven theories. Where is that soft pillock these days by the way?

I would never dream (or is it nightmare) of going on rag sites. So I haven't read what you said. I agree with Billy Azul ... NEVER give them amunition.

I've got this vague hope that if I just state our case calmly and clearly I will convince them to see the error of their ways...

Jack, rather than showing you and/or City in a negative light as other comments have claimed, I think your interview with RoM just shows what a bunch of uneducated, bitter and narrow-minded bunch of so-and-so's United fans are. There must be a United blogger who takes your balanced and reasoned approach to football (just as I'm sure there are City bloggers in the style of RoM!), can't you do an interview with one of them!

A surprising pleasure in life is to have a discussion about football with an intelligent, life long red who actually goes to OT.
You should try it someday, Jack as that guy has stitched you up everytime. Please choose someone else for this kind of thing.

Thought you did a decent job. Still, while I admire your stance to state the City case calmly and clearly it was quite obvious the interviewer was trying to wind you up and I doubt he was sincerely interesting in fostering a debate but more interested in giving the illusion of a debate. I'm sure If you continue to do these interviews you'll come come off with your usual calm and decency but I also hope you clearly call him out on some of his very poorly disguised wind ups. Don't be afraid to stand your ground.
