Horton

It's a shame to see Brian Horton's name back in the headlines under such unpleasant circumstances. He may have only led us to finishes of 16th and 17th (slightly more impressive given the 22 team Premier League), but he was also responsible for the great Uwe Rösler/Paul Walsh strike force. More importantly, unlike the next three City managers (Ball, Clark, Royle - I'm not including Coppell) he didn't get us relegated.

I do wish that he didn't associate with Phil Brown though.

my 1st games were under horton... big wins against spurs ans everton!

Brown is a disgrace, his remarks about geo failing a drug test were unforgivable, considering he blamed geo for lacking professionalism, he is showed a complete lack of judgment

Me too! My first game was the 5-2 win against Spurs at Maine Road in October 1994.

That's really interesting. It was a shame to start with all that good attacking football given what was soon to follow. Rosler, Walsh and Quinn are still three of the best forwards I've seen play for us.

Legend. Him and Beagrie really fly the flag for the Horton City team on Gillette Soccer Saturday.
