Milito to join Inter

The long-standing City target is going from Genoa to Internazionale, along with Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta. Going the other way will be Robert Acquafresca and an as yet undisclosed bundle of Euros.

I'm sure Hughes has other targets lined up though.

For what it's worth, I think Milito could score a mountain of goals next season.

oh well

bremen lost tonight, so no europe for them next season, means we can have a grab at some of their best players... diego, naldo, ozil

Isn't Diego to Juventus basically a done deal?

Diego made his name at Santos in a team that included Elano and Robinho so if we could sign him he might find his feet in the EPL that much quicker.

Tommy - Nice call on Ozil who is only 22 and already capped for Germany. Tricky player with pace and a great work ethic. Naldo would be a solid signing and I wouldn't mind us looking at Thorsten Frings as stop-gap solution until MJ comes back from injury. He's still a solid box to box midfielder who could free up Ireland even more offensively. He'd also be hungry to perform as he wants one last crack at WC 2010. A one year contract with performance clauses might do the trick (again stop-gap is the watchword here).
