Javi's ankle

Garrido's improving form has been one of the few good things about this autumn - his positioning and tackling are better now than they've ever been. He is not the liability he once was, and while we could still do with a better left back in January, it's not as much of a priority as say, centre back, central midfield or upfront.

We really missed him yesterday - Michael Ball was woeful. Damagingly off the pace - look how far away he is for Bullard's goal - and wasteful when in possession. Following his captain's example, whenever on the ball he did not fail to give Brede Hangeland some heading practice.

When I saw that Garrido has an Achilles injury I feared the worst (not realising that not all Achilles injuries are like what Bozhinov got) - but a post on mancityfans.net claims that Garrido said he'd be back in only a week or two. Check it out here.
