Andy Burton was just on Sky Sports News saying that if we wanted to buy Roque Santa Cruz, we would have had to bid £25million before today - thus allowing Blackburn to find a replacement. Burton said that our bid yesterday was less than £20m, and so we are not able to sign him.
No news on Schmeichel, Johnson, or anyone else.

It's frustrating isn't it - no target man bought, no CB... can't believe we're gonna let this window go by with no more bids, but it's looking like it.
£25m? No way on earth should City pay that for a striker with two league goals. I'd rather see Sturridge getting a regular game than get mugged like that. Liverpool got Torres for £25m.
