Micah gets goal

Interesting news for the sadder City fans out there (I count myself firmly with them) - Micah Richards has been awarded City's first goal against Arsenal back in September.

I know the Dubious Goals Panel must have put some serious thought into this, but it is a bizarre decision. The ball was quite clearly travelling away from the goal, after hitting the post, before Manuel Almunia headed it in. (Almunia is an expert, by the way, at scoring own goals in big games.)

But their decision stands and I will amend the stats down the right hand side of the blog accordingly.

TBH i could not care less really as we beat Arsenal without the goal and Micah Richards has been extremely below par with no show of improving fast enough for the Premier League, i have lost all confidence in the boy who spends to much time in the mirror and on his website taking compliments and pats on the back when clearly he does not deserve it after his show of below par performances, caught out of position, caught out full stop and caught day dreaming.

Great future prospect for a winger but lacks the ability of complete concentration which is needed in a top defender.

Anyone can give me the "but hes still young" line all they want, i see a better defender in Medum Onouha who has never failed to impress or never lost his way since joining City. Micah Richards had his chances, many chances but blew it big time.

Can't most wingers pass, cross and shoot?

Your right JPB, i was just highlighting the fact Micah has not the concentration though i never said he could pass or cross great but he certianly can put the ball in the net.

Just gets caught out way to easily and way to much.
