Balague: City back for Diarra

This has been the most interesting transfer saga since, well, Robinho. Guillem Balague has an update on the 'Diarra to Real' transfer story which suggests it's not a complete done deal.
It appears that a late intervention by Manchester City could thwart the La Liga side from getting their man... Manchester City...have pledged to beat any offer and package offered by the Spanish champions.
I guess we'll find out what's happening pretty soon.
